MIGOSI

Leaders: Ernest Ochieng’ and Caleb Ogam

Members: 36

Features:

  • Sunday school going well using Mayflower notes
  • Continuing in the books of Esther (Caleb) and Romans (Ernest)
  • House to house Sunday afternoons as both pastors in secular jobs
  • Western (Siaya) Fraternal going well
  • Many contacts in County Government

Current needs:

  • Desire to be able to broadcast on a Luo radio station to teach Reformed teaching.
  • Reconciliation with late William Onyango’s family

Prayer requests:

  • Faithfulness and holiness in members
  • Unity of 2 elders and 1 deacon (George)

 

NDIRA, BONDO and MRANDA

Leaders: Roy Omondi and Washintone Gengah

Members: 20

Features:

  • Ladies’ Conference in November (3 days). Youth Conference in December.
  • Church plant in Bondo town with Fred Akello – meet in a school.
  • 2 elders at Mranda ordained.

Current needs:

  • Drought conditions.
  • Prayer requests:
  • Conferences.
  • Church planting work in Bondo town.

 

OSANI, THIMLICH and WATH ORANGO

Leader: Daniel Ngoloi

Members: 10

Features:

  • Sent Patricko to Pokot.
  • Daniel is working alone as only trained leader in area.
  • 3 churches. Have Lord’s Supper and baptisms together.
  • On 2 Dec there us to be 3 baptisms of students at Wath Orango.
  • 8 charismatic churches around Osani, luring members

Prayer requests:

  • For unity.
  • Reconstitution of church in Thimlich.
  • Setting apart of Nelson at Wath Orango.

 

OTHOO

Leaders: Moses Miyawa and Mathan Oneya

Members: not many

Features:

  • Doing well. The few members are mature.
  • Oneya now old; most of work falls on Moses.
  • Women’s meetings in homes.
  • Nyalinda Primary & Secondary School ministries.
  • Youth Conference in December.

Current needs:

  • Struggling over building, half destroyed because of new road.
  • Floor not very good.
  • Want to have a resource centre.

Prayer requests:

  • That God would open the hearts of men by preaching.
  • That the preaching would be used as an instrument for conversions.
  • Desire to call local pastors for a Conference.

 

SIAYA

Leader: Charles Abwok

Members: 13

Features:

  • 2 very strong deacons
  • Meet Thursdays between 9.30 and noon in homes
  • Sundays reading through Genesis, and preaching through Colossians
  • Murungi’s recent visit was very encouraging

Current needs:

  • Currently have a building which does not have windows and doors in place.
  • A broken gable.
  • Prayer requests:
  • Unity between the leaders and members
  • Expense of commuting between Kisumu and Siaya.
